Edinburgh vs Sharks URC preview as the sides meet at the Hive Stadium.

Edinburgh and the Sharks sit next to each other on the table. The Sharks are 11th and Edinburgh 12th with six points between them. The Sharks sit 11 points behind the Bulls in eighth, and while they are still mathematically able to qualify for the top eight, the chances are limited. Edinburgh sit level on points with Benetton behind them and could drop without a win.

The Bulls had been performing well before the European break with strong wins over Munster and Cardiff. They got knocked out of the Challenge Cup by Connacht and then lost to the Ospreys in a return to URC action. They went 14-5 down but brought it back to 14-12 just before halftime. There was controversy surrounding the Ethan Hooker try as he was injured going over for the try. The Ospreys scored again in the second half, which put them in a position to seal the game.
