Bath had lost three games in four before the final round of the PREM and therefore they needed a win to secure a home semi-final against Exeter, who could have overtaken them without a win. Bath showed their power against the Leicester Tigers with Thomas du Toit scoring an incredible hattrick, all from within a few metres. Leicester were also pushing to make sure they finished in the top four. The game was sitting at 17-17 at halftime and had a kick in the final moments to bring the game level, but missed. Bath won 24-22.
