Scotland supporters have been given a clean broadcast route into the opening stretch of the 2026 Nations Championship, with Scottish Rugby confirming that every summer Test will be available live and free-to-air in the UK.
The national union said the inaugural competition will be shown exclusively on ITV and STV, with streaming also available through ITVX and STV Player. That gives Gregor Townsend’s side a wider domestic platform before a demanding three-match block against Argentina, South Africa and Fiji.
Scotland’s July route is now clear
Scotland begin away to Argentina at Estadio Mario Alberto Kempes on Saturday 4 July, with kick-off listed at 8.10pm BST. They then travel to Pretoria to face South Africa at Loftus Versfeld on Saturday 11 July, a 4.40pm BST start.
The final fixture of the block is technically a Fiji home match but will be staged at Scottish Gas Murrayfield on Saturday 18 July, kicking off at 2.10pm. That gives Scotland one neutral-feeling home-ground occasion before the tournament resumes later in the year. ReadRugbyUnion has also tracked Scotland’s wider summer build-up, including the latest Argentina opener focus.
- Argentina v Scotland – Saturday 4 July, 8.10pm BST
- South Africa v Scotland – Saturday 11 July, 4.40pm BST
- Fiji v Scotland – Saturday 18 July, 2.10pm BST
The broadcast confirmation matters because the Nations Championship is being sold as rugby’s attempt to give summer and autumn Tests proper competitive consequence. For Scotland, visibility is now secured. The harder part is turning three awkward assignments into a table position that still carries weight when the November rounds arrive.
