Ulster have revealed a huge injury list ahead of their crucial URC clash against Munster on Saturday.
The injuries came as a result of the 29-19 defeat to Leinster, where Sam Prendergast starred and picked up the player of the match award.
Injury list revealed
The Ulster medical team released their update following Ulster’s home defeat to Leinster. They travel to Munster on Saturday in a crucial fixture for their URC playoff hopes.
Angus Bell went off with a worrying ankle injury early on but is likely going to play again this season before he returns to Australia.
Tom O’Toole and Scott Wilson will be out on the tighthead side. Wilson battled on with his ankle injury to finish the game against Leinster despite the injury.
Bryn Ward will join James MacNabney and Nick Timoney as injured back rowers after he impressed off the bench against the Dublin province.
Jude Postelthwaite and James Hume have both worn the 13 shirt in the past and will both miss this clash with Munster.
Tighthead prop depth
A big worry for Ulster will be the lack of tighthead prop cover. In the last five matches we have only seen one alternative tighthead option, which is youngster Tom McAllister who started in both of the wins against Zebre and Edinburgh.
Scrum depth has been a major topic across all Irish provinces this year as all four have suffered major injuries in the prop positions.
