Boxing icon Eddie Hearn has bolstered his talent management roster with the acquisition of a rugby star into the ranks, joining fellow recent signing UFC star Tom Aspinall as the second athlete to become a part of the team.
Hearn has become perhaps the biggest name in the boxing scene thanks to his role as chairman of Matchroom Sport, who promote and host some of the most popular boxing pay-per-views in modern boxing history.
Meanwhile, his new signing has established himself in the rugby world quicker than many would have expected for a player his age, becoming a key choice for both club and country in only a few years.
Henry Pollock signs to Matchroom Talent Agency
In a post made on X (formerly known as Twitter) regarding the talented Northampton Saints flanker, Eddie Hearn confirmed that the 21-year-old had made the decision to sign with his adventurous new agency.
The caption of the post reads:
“THE ONE!
“Welcome to the Team 21 year old England and Lions talent Henry Pollock – I watched this young man and thought SUPERSTAR! Then I met him, understood the passion, vision and desire and had to be a part of this journey. Sometimes someone special comes along that has all the ingredients to change the sport. Rugby here we come.”
Pollock has played 20 games for both the Saints and England this season, and was a key player in what ended up ultimately as a disappointing tournament for the English in the Six Nations.
He has scored four tries in seven games for Northampton in the PREM, as well as three in four for the team in their Champions Cup efforts this year.
Pollock also boasts 275,000 followers on his Instagram account, something that will be sure to grow as his relationship with Matchroom blossoms and his career develops.
