Rugby Union news today: Pollock new contract, England A back in November and more

Rugby Union news today as England announce a new fixture fo the England A side, the ITV Prem fixtures have been announcedand Henry Pollock hass been linked to a new contract at Northampton Saints. 

England A fixture in November

The RFU have announced an England A fixture for the November international period that will see them play at the Rec in Bath,

England A will take on an Argentina XV on  Friday 6th November. 

England A featured already in 2026 when they played an Ireland XV side ahead of the Six Nations. 

ITV Prem schedule released

ITV are providing free-to-air rugby once again for the 2026/26 season. 

This is part of a new two-year deal for the channel to show Prem rugby throughout the next two seasons. 

The games:

Leicester Tigers vs Saracens: Sunday 27th September 3 pm- ITV1

Sale Sharks vs Exeter Chiefs: Sunday 6th December 3 pm- ITV1

Harlequins vs Northampton Saints: Monday 28th December 5 pm- ITV4

The presence of two games on ITV1 is a great sign and should boost viewership further for the domestic league with the first game covered coming in round one. 

Henry Pollock to stay at Saints

It is being reported by the Times that Henry Pollock is going to sign a new contract at Northampton Saints. This will see the star receiving roughly £400,000 a year in salary.

The salary may fall short of the 7 figures quoted by Eddie Hearn earlier in the summer that he felt that Pollock was worth.
