England head coach Eddie Jones has been handed a welcome boost ahead of the Six Nations, with Bath centre Jonathan Joseph set to return to club action next weekend after nine months out, the Daily Mail report.

The 27-year-old has not played since April but came through the warm-up on Saturday before Bath’s 18-16 European Champions Cup victory over Wasps.

And according to the club’s director of rugby Todd Blackadder, Joseph could make his comeback against Toulouse next Sunday.

If JJ comes through early next week really well and he gets some good training days into him, then yes, he should be good to go.

He got through this week really well, he trained really well and he looked really sharp.

The centre featured in all five of England’s 2018 Six Nations games but missed the tour of South Africa due to the injury he picked up in April.

Jones is set to name up to 34 players when he announces his England squad on Thursday as he begins narrows down his options ahead of the World Cup this year.

England are set to begin their Six Nations campaign away to Ireland on February 2, before finishing the tournament against Scotland at Twickenham on March 16.
