Worcester sign New Zealander Fatialofa

Worcester have announced the signing of Michael Fatialofa, who will join the Aviva Premiership club from the beginning of next season.

The two-year deal will see the New Zealander leave his current club Hurricanes down under to join the English outfit.

25-years-old, Worcester are clearly excited to bring a player with Kiwi pedigree – and Barbarians experience – into their ranks.

Director of rugby Alan Solomons said:

Michael is an absolutely outstanding player,

It’s massive for the club to bring him here to Sixways.

A sub-standard season for the Warriors has seen them stranded in 11th place, although London Irish’s terrible form should see them down instead of Worcester.

With Premiership survival next year clearly on the mind however, the recruitment team have been making a statement.

As such, Fatialofa will be the ninth signing to join the club before the 2018-19 season.

Other additions will include Ashley Beck and Francois Venter at centre, Jono Lance at fly-half, and Callum Black at prop.
