Leicester Tigers lock Dom Barrow has joined French side Stade Rochelais on a short term deal ahead of his move to Northampton Saints next season, according to BBC Sport.
He has found chances limited this season, having not featured this calendar year, save one match in the A League.
Barrow joined the club three years ago from Newcastle and has found it tough to make an impact this season with a neck injury, and there is a feeling a move is best for all parties.

As a result, his contract has been terminated early and he makes the move to France to act as injury cover in the French league.
With Leicester still pressing their claims for a top four finish they need players who are going to be up and ready for the challenge which lies ahead, with the club currently sitting just three points behind the fourth placed Newcastle Falcons (who themselves have a big match this weekend) ahead of the league’s return this weekend.
Barrow spoke about his transfer in a recent interview:
Chris Boyd’s appointment (as director of rugby) was key to my decision and it seems to have generated a lot of positive energy at Saints.
It’s obvious that there’s a huge focus on putting things right for next year and challenging for honours – I can’t wait to play my part.
