England captain Dylan Hartley is to miss England’s fourth match in the Six nations, taking place this weekend in Paris.
The clash with France is a pivotal game for England, after losing in the previous round to a resurgent Scotland team, by a score of 25-13.
However, England will have to resurrect their dreams of Six Nations glory without their skipper and hooker. A tight calf will mean the experienced Hartley will be just a spectator for the penultimate game in the competition.
Inside centre Owen Farrell will take over captaincy duties, as Mako Vunipola receives the nod as vice-captain.
