It was reported Wednesday evening that the French Rugby Federation is to launch an investigation into the night of partying from their own players following Sunday’s 32-26 defeat to Scotland.
Several players have already been dropped for the upcoming match against Italy, but head coach Jacques Brunel has suggested more punishment may be coming for those who opted for the night out.

Brunel said his players did not “did not respect their international player status and the duties resulting from it”, and their actions may result in further “personalised sanctions”.
Among those out of the squad for the third game of the tournament is prolific winger Teddy Thomas, who crossed the try-line twice at Murrayfield.

Six players were questioned by Scottish police following an allegation of sexual assault on the evening in question, but were released without charge after it was determined no crime had been committed.
The French team haven’t won in their last eight matches, and have seen their start to the Six Nations characterised by close defeat in both games.
The decision to drop key players for disciplinary reasons won’t make the task of turning their fotunes around any easier.
