Danny Care will become England’s highest capped scrum half when he starts Saturday’s game against Wales.
Following Ben Youngs’ knee injury in Rome, the Harlequins star has moved into the starting XV for the potentially tournament-defining clash against the Welsh.
The record is currently shared between Care and player-turned-pundit Matt Dawson, who appeared 72 times in an England jersey.

Care made his England debut on June 14 2008, in the fiercest of all environments, Auckland against New Zealand. A second half replacement, Care would go on to make his first start for England a week later in Christchurch scoring his first international try in the second half.
Since then, Care has scored 12 more tries for England.
Despite injury keeping him out of the 2011 World Cup, Care did feature in the 2015 edition in England.
Speaking of his veteran scrumhalf, England Head Coach Eddie Jones said:
Danny Care very much deserves the honour of being the most capped England scrum half and I am sure he’ll make the most of his opportunity on Saturday.
At 31 years of age, Care poses to increase that number of caps even more.
