Bristol secure signing of Georgian international

Recently promoted Bristol Rugby have increased the competitiveness of their squad after capturing the signing of Georgian International lock, Giorgi Nemsadze, their official website has confirmed

Nemsadze has represented his country at two World Cups, 2011 and 2015, and has collected over sixty appearances for Georgia.

The Bristol Rugby director of rugby, Andy Robinson, told the club site:

Giorgi fits the bill for a Premiership lock. He’s heavy, abrasive and he’s been a key part of a Georgia forwards pack that has enjoyed considerable success at international level. We recruit players that fit the mould of the standards and culture we expect at Bristol Rugby. Giorgi not only brings with him the knowledge of playing in France for nearly ten years but also that physical intensity we are striving for.

Nemsadze has also discussed his opinions on his move, “To play in the top flight was an ambition of mine, so I am delighted to join Bristol Rugby and to begin life in the Premiership.”

The Georgian joined Bristol Rugby from Tarbes, a team from the French ProD2.

Nemsadze stands at 6”5 and weighs over 120kg, making him a juggernaut and a nuisance for any opposition.

Bristol Rugby would hope that their recent signings will assist them in securing their position in the Aviva Premiership next season, leading to the possibility of a great battle to remain in the league.
