Team News: England v Ireland

England makes two changes to their side ahead of the clash with Ireland at Twickenham on Saturday.

Eddie Jones will hand a first start to 21-year-old forward Maro Itoje of Saracens, who made his England debut in 40-9 victory over the Italians in Rome.

England also make another change to the team who beat Italy, with prop Joe Marler of Harlequins replacing Mako Vunipola. There is also the possibility of Elliot Daly making his debut for England, with the Wasps centre sitting on the bench.

Ireland hand two debuts to centre Stuart McCloskey and flanker Josh van der Flier, with the Irish making five changes to the side who lost to France.

Along with the debutants, coming into the Irish team are Keith Earls, Donnacha Ryan and Mike Ross.

The Irish have suffered numerous injury problems during the six nations, with the trio Kearney, O’Brien and Mike McCarthy ruled out for the remainder of the tournament. Jared Payne didn’t train fully for the team, and will be missing for the trip to England.
