England are ready to offer Ospreys starlet Sam Underhill an international call-up in the summer to clinch the flanker’s future services, according to the Daily Mail.
Underhill, who has burst onto the scene at Pro 12 side Ospreys recently, is currently being monitored by Eddie Jones as he looks to give the open-side an international cap to tie him down to rugby with England.
The United States-born 19-year-old will not be eligible to play for Wales for another two-and-a-half years while he also does qualify to play for Scotland through a grandparent.
However, an England call-up for their summer tour of Australia is now looking likely for Underhill, who will then go on to represent England for the rest of his career, after already representing them at U18s level.
Due to recent form, Underhill is also being monitored by several Aviva Premiership teams who are looking to acquire an exceptional prospect. The young forward featured at open-side for Ospreys in their recent Champions’ Cup win over Clermont and was absolutely tremendous against the strong Top 14 club, making an astonishing 18 tackles.
Remember the name…. Sam Underhill.
