Saracens have signed Scottish international lock, Kieran Low, on loan for the rest of the season from Glasgow Warriors. The 24-year-old is 6’6″, weighs 17st 9lb and has made 5 appearances for his adopted home nation after being born in Chichester, in the south of England, and representing his country of birth at age group level. Low has previously made 61 appearances for London Irish and also had a short spell at London Welsh, so is not a stranger to the way things are in the Aviva Premiership, having been there for the majority of his playing career so far.

It is likely that the London-based side will lose Maro Itoje and George Kruis to England, and if another second row forward was then injured, Saracens would require additional cover to fill in and that is why they decided to bring Low in. Saracens Director of Rugby, Mark McCall said, “He’s an international quality lock who has plenty of Premiership experience” and that “we are very happy to be able to bring Kieran into the group.”
The Glasgow Warrior joined his current club in the Summer and having made 3 appearances for the Pro 12 champions early on in the season, has not played since early October and Glasgow Warriors’ Head Coach, Gregor Townsend said: “This is a good opportunity for Kieran to get game time in the Aviva Premiership and we wish him all the best at Saracens.”
