Cardiff Blues fly-half Rhys Patchell is to leave Cardiff Arms Park next season to join Welsh rivals Scarlets, according to Wales Online.
Patchell has become a key player for Danny Wilson’s Blues in recent times, becoming a better player every time he steps out on the field. A very accurate goal kicker, the 22-year-old is now considered as a huge prospect in the Welsh ranks.

He leaves a Cardiff Blues side who have majorly struggled so far this, acquiring just two wins in nine Pro12 games in 2015/16.
Therefore, a transfer Westwards would appear to be a convincing move for Patchell with Scarlets having an immense campaign, topping the Pro12 table winning eight of their nine games.
Scarlets’ 2016/17 season even looks extremely promising with Jonathan Davies joining the side, and Scott Williams and Gareth Davies looking set to sign new contracts at the Parc Y Scarlets. Leigh Halfpenny has even been linked with a move to the in-form Llanelli side.

Patchell is now added to the list of talented Welshmen to play for Wayne Pivac’s team. The three-capped Welsh international could well slide in as Scarlets’ number 10 next season after Rhys Priestland departed for Bath in the summer.
