Zebo – Family is my priority

With Simon Zebo’s contract at Munster running out next summer, the exciting 25-year-old winger is considering his options with other clubs.

However, one of the things high up on his list of priorities of where he plays next season, is his family. There has been reported interest from the Top 14 with clubs such as Pau and Stade Français, but Zebo says that he must think of his young family before other things.

Also Zebo will not make his final decision on which stadium the electric back three player will be lighting up next season until his agent, Shaun Longstaff, who is a former Scotland winger, has shown him all his options. Zebo may be looking towards other options, but his current club, Munster, will be trying their hardest to keep the homegrown winger that has become one of the stars of Thomond Park over recent seasons and still has the potential to continue to improve.

The location of Simon Zebo has yet to be confirmed for next season, although we do know that, with family at the forefront of his mind, he is unlikely to make a decision any time soon because he will want to ensure that his young child and wife will be able to do as well as he will in the area that they stay in next season, whether that is Munster, Paris, Pau or somewhere completely different.

Then Zebo’s interview finished with him saying that, “at the end of the day, rugby is just business and you can’t get swallowed up.” Then he went on to talk about how people should do what is best for them and those around them when it comes to the big decisions such as where to live and work next year.
