After losing what is now a local derby away to Leicester Tigers at Welford Road, Wasps would be eager to grab another win at the Ricoh Arena.
Wasps’ last Premiership win came at home to Bath a couple of rounds ago, Dai Young’s side beat last season’s runners-up 16-9.
This weekend Gloucester will visit Coventry in order to face Wasps, the Cherry and Whites lie fifth in the table at the moment, compared to their opponents being below them in eighth.
Wasps have just won one of their five previous Aviva Premiership matches and have not won back-to-back matches at the Ricoh Arena since March.
Gloucester have lost just one match this season, that coming against reigning champions Saracens in the second round.
The Cherry and Whites have lost their five matches against Wasps in the Premiership, their last win coming at Kingsholm in September 2012 – a 29-22 win.
Gloucester have only scavenged two wins away to Wasps in any competition in 25 years; both of those victories were at Adam Park in 2008 and 2011 respectively.
The Ricoh Arena has also hosted a Gloucester win after they beat Ospreys 17-0 in the semi-final of the Anglo-Welsh Cup back in 2009.
Wasps won their last three meeting with Gloucester, winning 32-21, 23-30 and 38-30 respectively.
Wasps fly-half Jimmy Gopperth will miss the match due to a three-week suspension he picked up in their match at Welford Road.
The match will kick-off at 3pm, Ian Tempest will referee his 9th Premiership game and his assistant referees will be Darren Gamage and Robin Goodliffe; the TMO will be David Sainsbury.
Prediction: Wasps 29-16 Gloucester
