We’re just a couple of days away from this year’s Rugby World Cup final between New Zealand and Australia and the All Blacks have been threatened with injuries. Loosehead prop Wyatt Crockett has had to withdraw from the New Zealand squad due to his injury, Pauliasi Manu has replaced him instead.
Manu travelled to London earlier this month as cover for Crockett as he injured his groin in the All Black’s 62-13 win over European side France. Crockett, who’s thirty-two years old, was a part of five of the All Black’s six matches so far in this year’s World Cup. He started against both Georgia and France an has made 45 appearances for New Zealand since his début test cap back in 2009.
Pauliasi Manu is a loosehead prop for the Chiefs, a Super Rugby team. Manu is yet to represent the All Blacks and is not in the matchday twenty-three for the World Cup final versus the Wallabies, but could be called to the starting fifteen or replacement bench in the event of further injuries before the crucial match.
