What Wales must do to beat South Africa

In the first of the quarter-finals, Group A runners-up Wales will face Group B winners South Africa at Twickenham on Saturday.

Both teams have had testing moments in their groups – Wales failing to finish off a 13-man Australia there for the taking while South Africa suffered the shock of the tournament when they lost to Japan.

But both are in the quarter-finals where it is simply win or bust. Wales have only beaten South Africa twice but in the last meeting 12 months ago, Warren Gatland’s side came out 12-6 victors.

And if they aim to make it three wins against the Springboks and reach their second successive World Cup semi-final, this is what they must do.
