North Walsham battered Lethworth 41-0 in this London North 1 clash this afternoon.
The game got off to a slow start, with no points coming for the first 21 minutes. A Matt Hodgson penalty opened the scoring for the hosts, before 3 minutes later an intercepted pass allowed Wayne Williams to burst away to score the first try of the afternoon.
The next try came on the stroke of half time,as a great team move coupled with woeful defending by the visitors allowed Will Hodgson to break away and score before his brother Matt converted.
Letchworth were caught napping as straight from the kick off Walsham powered through to score try number three thanks to Freddie Henley-Hunter.
Will Hodgson then got his second after intercepting a sloppy pass on halfway, and running half the length of the pitch to place the ball down.
A try of brute force from Mike Braans increased the Vikings lead to 34 points and an incredible show of pace from 40-year-old winger Shane van Vuurten claimed the final points of the afternoon.
Some last-ditch defending at the death ensured that Walsham retained a clean sheet to give them three wins in four so far this season.
