Wales full-back Leigh Halfpenny is set to miss out on the 2016 Six Nations after having reconstructive knee surgery on an injury sustained in Wales Rugby World Cup warm-up match against Italy.
His injury has caused many to debate whether manager Warren Gatland made the correct decision in playing him in the final warm-up match.
Halfpenny described the moment that the injury occurred: “I heard something snap and I just remember being on the floor in agony.”
His recovery timescale has been given as between 6-8 months, ruling him out of Wales next two major tournaments.
