Breaking: Ireland captain and star winger ruled out of summer tour

Caelan Doris and Tommy O’Brien have been ruled out of the summer tour of Australia and New Zealand due to injuries in the URC Grand Final.

The pair will be replaced by the Ward brothers of Ulster, while Dan Sheehan will captain Ireland for the first three games of the Rugby Nations Championship.

Leinster injuries take their toll

Caelan Doris suffered a foot injury in the opening few minutes of the URC Grand Final but would later go to collect the trophy after Leinster came up 36-7 winners. They became the first side to win back-to-back URC titles.

O’Brien suffered a groin injury after competing for a high ball just before halftime.
