Steve Tandy has named a 48-man strong squad as Wales will take on the Barbarians in June.

The match takes place on 27th June at Allianz Stadium in London. As this game is outside of the international rugby window, only the Welsh based players will be available for the fixture. This gives 33 players a chance to play at Allianz Twickenham.

The foreign-based players will join up with the squad for the Nations Championship games against Fiji, Argentina and South Africa.

Winners in Wales’ squad

Six uncapped players join the squad.

Kane James (Exeter Chiefs), Bryn Bradley (Harlequins), Ryan Woodman (Dragons), Harrison Keddie (Dragons), Rhys Barratt (Cardiff) and Ben Warren (Ospreys) are in line for their first caps after being brought into the squad.

The returners from injury

Jac Morgan, Teddy Williams and Max Llewelyn have all returned to the squad after the missed the Six Nations this year due to injury.

Injury doubts included

Dewi Lake and Sam Costelow were injury doubts for the tour but have been included in the squad.

Losers in the Wales squad

Captainless side

Tandy has named the squad without a captain attached. Jac Morgan had been captain prior to the injury which kept him out of the Six Nations. Dewi Lake captained the side in his absence.

The dropped regulars

Rio Dyer, Elliott Dee and Brodie Coghlan have missed out despite the improvements that the Dragons have made throughout the season, while four key names from the Ospreys have also missed out.
