Rugby News Today as George North announces his retirement from rugby, Garry Ringrose shares his admiration for his opposite number and Super Rugby teams for this weekend are announced.

George North announces retirement from rugby

Legendary Welsh winger George North has now announced that he will fully retire from rugby. He retired from international rugby in 2024 after having won 121 caps and scored 47 tries. He won the Six Nations four times, two of which were Grand Slams. North has finished his career playing for Provence in the Pro D2 in France.

Garry Ringrose shares his admiration for Brex

Ringrose shared in a pre-match press conference the admiration he had for his opposite number, Juan Ignacio Brex. He spoke about the little details that Brex has in his game as a 13. Ringrose also spoke on how he has added to his defensive quality throughout the years.

Super Rugby squad announced for Round 12

The matchday squads have been announced for Round 12 of Super Rugby, where we have the fixtures, Hurricanes vs Crusaders, Waratahs vs Western Force, Fijian Drua vs Highlanders, Moana Pasifika vs Blues and Reds vs Brumbies. One of the big news stories from the teams is the return of Joseph-Aukuso Suaalii, who has been out since February.
