Zebre have won two matches in the URC this season, but haven’t won in the league since October. Their best form this season has come in the Challenge Cup, where they got knocked out by the Dragons. In the last round, they conceded in the final moments to lose 31-30 to Edinburgh. The lead kept changing throughout the match, and they were 30-24 behind with five minutes to go. Boan Venter scored late to lose 31-30.

The Dragons have also won two matches this season, but are ahead of their opponents thanks to their three draws. The Dragons’ two wins came either side of the New Year, and they have only won in the Challenge Cup since then. They were only 12-7 behind at halftime, but the South Africans went on to score five second-half tries.

These teams met in the Challenge Cup just two weeks ago, and the Dragons won by three points. The Dragons took a 35-20 lead with just three minutes to go, and Zebre scored two tries late on to make the score closer. Each of the last four meetings have been settled by 10 points or less.
