The Dragons won two games in a row for the first time since December. Both of these wins came in the Challenge Cup, where they have set up a semi-final against Bordeaux. They haven’t won in the URC since New Year’s Day against the Scarlets. They defeated Zebre in the Challenge Cup quarter-final. The scores were level at half-time, and the Dragons put themselves 35-20 ahead with just three minutes to go with two tries and two penalties. In the final minutes, they conceded two tries to bring the Italians back within three, but they were able to hold on.

The Bulls had been in great form before the European break. They have won five of their last six URC matches, including both of their away matches in that run. In the Champions Cup round of 16 against Glasgow, they lost 25-21. The Bulls led going into halftime, but conceded two tries in the second half while the South Africans only scored one.
