The Gallagher PREM have announced the shortlist for the March Player of the Month. They are

  • Alfie Barbeary of Bath
  • Tom Hooper of Exeter Chiefs
  • Archie McParland of Northampton Saints
  • Will Wand of Leicester Tigers

This season’s players of the month have been Billy Searle of Leicester Tigers (January), Ellis Genge of Bristol Bears (December) and Edoardo Torado of Northampton Saints in October.

Alfie Barbeary

Alfie Barbeary has been an ever present in the Bath line up this season, and his performances have been noticed by the selection committee for this award. He has scored three tries since the turn of the year, but it will be his tackling and defensive work that’s caught the eye.

Tom Hooper

Aussie flanker Tom Hooper only signed with the Chiefs at the start of this season but already he has established himself in the Chiefs side. His tough tackling and line out work has been exceptional so far, and Exeter will be relying on that consistency as they chase honours this season.

Archie McParland

Saints scrum-half Archie McParland has helped his team top the Gallagher PREM this season, and will hope that they can stay there. He has scored 10 tries this season so far, including three in the last two games.

Will Wand

Leicester Tigers centre Will Wand has played 21 times this season and has scored 12 tries, so his contribution has helped Leicester’s reach third in the PREM so far, and will play an important part for the rest of the season, as the Tigers search for honours this season.

The shortlist was voted for by a panel of media professionals. The judges for the 2025/26 Gallagher PREM season are:
