They returned to Prem action after the Six Nations with a tough loss to Bath. Saracens took an early 10-0 lead, but conceded a total of nine tries to lose 62-15.

Northampton’s only Prem defeat of the season came back in November to Bristol. Their defeat in the last five matches came at the hands of Bordeaux in the Champions Cup. They returned to Prem action against the bottom of the table Newcastle Red Bulls last week and narrowly won 28-27. They led for 74 minutes of the match, but still didn’t look like their comfortable selves throughout. A late Newcastle seven-pointer made it look even closer, winning by only one point.
