The Brumbies started the season strong with three wins in a row, but they lost to the Reds and Fijian Drua. In the last round, they got back to winning ways as they beat the Chiefs 33-24. With just over 20 minutes to go, they were 24-7 down. They then scored 26 points unanswered to win the game. 

Waratahs (Away team): W-L-W-L-L

After a strong start to the season, the Waratahs have lost three games in a row. All the losses have been outside of a single score. The Waratahs started strongly against the Blues in the previous round and took a 20-8 lead shortly after half-time. The Blues then made a comeback and took a 23-20 lead. Two late tries for the Blues made the score look a little more convincing for the Auckland visitors, who won 35-20.
