Premiership side Harlequins have reportedly approached the Rugby Football Union about the possibility of talking to England defence coach Paul Gustard about becoming the club’s new head coach, the BBC report.
The defence coach has worked with current England boss Eddie Jones since 2016 and has a contract with the RFU until the 2019 Rugby World Cup concludes.

Jones and Gustard have enjoyed plenty of success, with back-to-back Six Nations titles, and away series victories against Australia and Argentina over the course of two-and-a-half-years.
Gustard is thought of as one of the most talented coaches in the English game, so if Harlequins can secure his services, it would be a huge statement.
Gustard, won four Premiership titles as a player with Leicester and also had spells with London Irish and Saracens.
If Harlequins are given permission to speak to Gustard, they will need to agree compensation terms with the RFU.
Wales defence coach Shaun Edwards and former England sevens boss Ben Ryan have also been rumoured for roles with the club for next season.
