Eddie Jones keen to forget the abuse from Scotland fans

England head coach Eddie Jones has revealed that he wants to put the abuse that he suffered from Scotland fans behind him as he prepares his side for a crucial match against France, according to a report on Sky Sports.

The Australian was the subject of abuse from Scotland fans during a train journey and video evidence showed the fans shouting abuse to him whilst he was getting into a car at Oxford Road station in Manchester.

Jones’ England side was outclassed by Scotland, who managed to get their first win over their rivals in ten years.

However, Jones is solely focused on the upcoming match with France and claims that he believes it is a part of the sport.

He said:

I just got on with it, it’s part of the job. The abuse isn’t nice and you want to keep away from it. I’ve never wanted anything to be made of it. I didn’t bring it forward. I’m just happy that it’s finished.

They had a great result and there were a lot of people who were happy and that happiness boiled over to something a bit more. Probably in that situation, I wouldn’t get on the train again.

England are looking to become the first ever side to win the Six Nations three years in succession but know that they have to win against France this weekend to give themselves a chance going into the final round of fixtures.

We could be in for a Grand Slam showdown between Ireland and England at Twickenham in a few weeks as both sides look to secure the title.
