Scarlets and Wales prop Wyn Jones has been dealt an injury setback, and will miss the remaining games of the 2018 Six Nations.
Appearing from the substitutes bench in all three of Wales games to this point, a hamstring injury sustained in the match against Ireland has ended his dreams of participating in the northern hemisphere’s premier rugby tournament.
Jones was receiving his eighth cap for Wales on Saturday, as the Welsh suffered their second consecutive defeat in a 37-27 defeat to the Irish.
Jones has made 39 appearances for Scarlets since joining the team in 2013, and the 26-year-old was starting to make his presence felt as a rotational prop in the forwards division.

Wales have decided not to name a replacement for Jones at this stage, with Ospreys loose-head Nicky Smith the candidate to fulfil the role Jones will vacate.
Wales will face Italy in the next round, and conclude their tournament by hosting the French.
