Scotland forward Ryan Wilson has been cited for an alleged act of foul play after Saturday’s victory over England in the Six Nations.
Tussling with England number eight Nathan Hughes off the ball, Wilson has been accused of making contact with his opponent’s eye.
Tournament organisers said:
The alleged offence, contact with the eye area of an opponent (Law 9.12) took place in the 37th minute of the match,
A disciplinary hearing will be convened before a Six Nations Disciplinary Committee on Wednesday.

Before the game even started, Wilson was embroiled in controversy. A fracas in the tunnel following the pre-match warm-up between himself and England centre Owen Farrell has prompted the Six nations committee to ask both rugby unions to explain what happened.
With two wins from three matches, the Scots travel to Dublin to play Ireland, with an opportunity to blow the tournament wide-open.
Ireland, however, will be fresh off their 37-27 win against Wales – the team that beat Scotland 34-7 back in the first game of the tournament.
