Wales head coach Warren Gatland has given England advice on how to beat Joe Schmidt’s Ireland as the two teams prepare for a Six Nations showdown, according to a report on the Irish Independent.
Gatland’s Wales were beaten by Ireland on the weekend and after reviewing his side’s performance, the head coach now believes he knows what to do to beat them.

Ireland were brilliant at times during their 37-27 win over Wales and now lead the rankings by five points. They also have a very good score difference compared to their nearest challengers England.
The Six Nations title could be decided in the final round of matches of the tournament as England host Ireland at Twickenham.
Gatland said:
You have got to keep your patience against an Irish team, be prepared to kick a little bit, stay in that arm wrestle and wait for opportunities.
The disappointing thing from our point of view is that the things we worked on during the week and spoke about in the week came back to haunt us, like the discipline, being prepared to go through lots and lots of phases against an Irish team without giving anything away.
Unfortunately we didn’t do that and, as I said, when they got close to our goal line they were very good.
Ireland tends to have clever game management tactics and try to break up the match as much as possible which doesn’t allow their opponents to gain any momentum.
Ireland host in-form Scotland on Saturday whilst Wales welcome Italy.
