England receive triple injury boost ahead of Six Nations

England has been given some good news as three players who were labelled as doubtful have been passed fit to feature in their Six Nations opener against Italy, according to a report on the Belfast Telegraph.

The three players that have passed fitness tests are lock Maro Itoje, flanker Chris Robshaw and full-back Mike Brown.

The news of their fitness is a huge boost for England going into the match against Italy, as it gives them a chance to give match time to players who have missed out recently due to injury.

England head coach Eddie Jones is extremely happy with the news and has confidence that all three players can have a huge part to play in their Six Nations defence in a few weeks.

He said:

We’ve had some miracles. There have been some great recoveries because of the fantastic work from the medical and strength and conditioning staff.

All of them (Robshaw, Itoje, Brown) have returned. We did some stuff yesterday (Monday) and they all came through really well.

England has never lost to Italy and are looking to become the first side in history to win the Six Nations tournament three times in succession, but will find it more difficult this year as most of the sides are looking stronger than last year.

England takes on Italy on Sunday at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome.
