Scotland forward Richie Gray has been ruled out of their Six Nations opener against Wales, according to a report on the Daily Record.
Gray, who has featured for Scotland 64 times, missed last week’s 3-day training camp in Edinburgh with a calf injury and it is that same problem that has ruled him out of the clash with Wales.

The 28-year-old, who plays for Toulouse, will now remain in France to undergo treatment for the injury with his club’s medics.
Scotland are hoping that Gray will recover from the injury in time to participate in the later stages of the tournament.
Scotland assistant coach Mike Blair said:
Obviously he is a quality player and a guy we’re really keen to see back and how he fits in – but he also needs to get himself right. There’s no point having him here if he’s not 100 per cent.
When will he be back? Sooner rather than later but we can’t put an exact time on it right now.
The news is a huge blow for Scotland, whose current injury list just seems to be increasing by the day.
Gray’s injury means there are now eight players missing through injury ahead of the tournament, but Blair is confident that the team has enough quality to be able to cope without the absentees.
