Marler and Haskell added to England’s Six Nations squad

England manager Eddie Jones has selected James Haskell and Joe Marler in the Six Nations squad, even though both players are currently suspended, according to a report on Sky Sports.

Both players are currently ruled out of England’s opening two fixtures against Italy and Wales after being sent off whilst playing for their clubs earlier in the month.

Manager Jones has retained the original 34 players who travelled to the training camp in Portugal. Haskell and Marler did not participate in that particular training camp but are expected to be present for training at Pennyhill Park this week.

Marler and Haskell clashed with each other towards the end of last year when Marler aggressively ripped off Haskell’s scrum cap.

Marler has a habit of getting himself into trouble with referees and has been penalised three times already this season for aggressive offences.

England is going into the Six Nations tournament full of confidence after having won the tournament two times in succession over the last two years.

The team could create history this time around as they could become the first team ever to win the tournament three times in a row.

Manager Jones is keeping focused on one game at a time and insists that it will be much harder for his team this year as other sides will try their absolute best to inflict defeat on his side.
