England have been dealt a huge blow ahead of the Six Nations as flanker Chris Robshaw and full-back Mike Brown are doubtful to feature in the opening match against Italy, according to a report on BBC Sport.
Robshaw has picked up a back injury while Brown currently has blurred vision, making them doubtful to be available for selection next month.
The Harlequins team-mates could recover in time for the match, which takes place on 4th February, but manager Eddie Jones has labelled their recoveries as “borderline”.

It will most likely be a late decision as to whether they are fit enough to play as England’s injury list extends to 15 players.
Manager Jones said:
Robshaw has spent a lot of time in the pool, but he’s borderline to play rugby. Brown is doing light skills but he’s borderline too.
England are going in to the opening match of the tournament full of confidence, especially against Italy, who they have never lost against.
The Italians have tasted defeat 23 times out of 23 meetings with the English and are the underdogs in this matchup as England look to power to a third consecutive Six Nations title.
Robshaw has 59 caps for England and has plenty of experience to help the side, so Jones will be hoping he can recover for the match in 10 days time.
