Combined XV: Scarlets Vs Connacht

League leaders Scarlets welcome third-placed Connacht to Llanelli on Sunday as they look to get their Pro12 title assault back on track following consecutive losses in the Welsh festive derbies.

Having set the pace early on in the season, the West Walians have suffered an injury crisis in recent weeks with a number of first team players unavailable – culminating in dramatic defeats to both the Ospreys and the Cardiff Blues.

Irish province Connacht are another side who had made hay during the World Cup, only to have come unstuck over the festive period with defeats to Ulster and Leinster.

So as Wayne Pivac and Pat Lam both search for their first win of 2016, we take a look at who would make a combined XV of the two PRO12 outfits.
