Wales and Ospreys fly-half Dan Biggar has signed a new National Dual Contract, committing his future to his home country.
Biggar was exceptional for Wales during the 2015 Rugby World Cup, and he’s taken his international form back into his club performances, with he 26-year-old having a solid start of the season with Pro12 side, Ospreys.

Now, Biggar – to the delight of many Wales and Ospreys fans – is staying in his home country after penning a new National Dual Contract. This contract will now see the 39-capped Welsh international stay in Wales until 2019. Biggar will also be likely to see himself in Warren Gatland’s plans until the 2019 World Cup in Japan.
WRU chief executive Martyn Phillips said to the Guardian: “We are delighted Dan has committed his future to the Ospreys and will be remaining in Wales.”
He added, “It’s taken a little while to get to the point where everyone is happy with the deal, but I’m glad to have the next couple of years sorted and I can continue to play for Wales and, week in week out, for the Ospreys.
“Hopefully others will follow suit and we can continue to grow a strong player base in Wales.”
