In a pulsating clash, South Africa struck late to steal victory from a heroic Welsh side at Twickenham.

Fourie Du Preez’s late try broke Welsh resilience and hearts as Wales fell at the quarter-final stage of the World Cup.

In a match of small margins, Wales appeared to have nullified the brutal onslaught of the Springboks but it was just not to be for Warren Gatland’s men.
