Warren Gatland has recalled winger Eli Walker into the World Cup squad after Liam Williams was ruled out of the rest of the competition with a foot injury.
The Ospreys star, 23, had previously been called up to the national side in place of the injured Leigh Halfpenny however, had to pull out again after becoming injured himself prior to the start of the tournament after suffering a hamstring injury.
As reported by Sky Sports, Gatland will no doubt be pleased that Walker has managed to regain his fitness in time for the vital quarter-final clash against South Africa on Saturday at Twickenham.

It would be fair to say that the Welsh side have suffered an injury crisis during this World Cup campaign that has seen them lose the likes of Halfpenny, Rhys Webb, Scott Williams, Hallam Amos and more but the fact that Walker has recovered will undoubtedly relieve the stress of selection.
Williams suffered his second injury in as many weeks in Wales’ 15-6 defeat to Australia in last week’s Pool A decider after also being taken off earlier in the tournament against England for fear of concussion.
Walker appeared only once during the warm-up matches against Ireland and will immediately join up with the squad at their Surrey base ahead of Saturday’s clash.
