What Wales must do to beat Australia

Wales will go into next Saturday’s showdown against Australia knowing their place in the quarter-finals is secured, with hosts England having crashed out.

But with the pool still to be won and an easier route to the final the reward, this is still an important match for Warren Gatland’s men.

Having been depleted by injuries and a tough group, Wales have performed miracles to qualify for the quarter-finals and as such, the shackles will be well and truly off.

But Australia will be a tough proposition, having taken apart England 33-13 at Twickenham. Such a performance makes them favourites to top the group and face likely face Scotland in the knockout stages.

But what can Wales do to get the victory, top the group and avoid South Africa in the quarter-finals.
