On day two of the 2015 Rugby World Cup, one of the biggest shocks in World Cup history was witnessed in Brighton as Japan beat two-time World Cup winners South Africa 34-32 in a remarkable match.
Having been winning 12-10 at half time, South Africa will be kicking themselves as they failed to beat a team they were expected to beat with ease and consequently blows qualification from Pool B wide open. However for Japan, it represents a monumental achievement and one they will be proud of for years to come especially considering this is the first World Cup match they have won since 1991.

Elsewhere on the second day of the tournament, Twickenham saw France beat Italy 32-10.
France hardly needed to get out of second gear as they dealt with an Italy side lacking in discipline, with the scoreline at half-time being 15-3. Italy did improve in the second half, scoring a try through Venditti, but Nicolas Mas made sure Italy would be leaving Twickenham with 0 points after scoring a try of his own.
One negative for France would have been that winger Yoann Huget appeared to pull a hamstring in the second half and had to be replaced.

Elsewhere in Pool D, Ireland routed Canada by 50-7 in Cardiff, showing France they have a difficult job on their hands to secure top spot in Pool D.
Ireland scored seven tries which meant they secured a bonus point which could prove valuable at the end of the pool stages. Canada never really proved to be a threat, as Ireland raced into a 29-0 lead at half-time.

The final game was Tonga vs Georgia at Kingsholm in Gloucster as Tonga were beat by Georgia. At half-time, Georgia were winning 10-3 as Tonga were slow out of the blocks and Tonga were unable to make up the difference as Georgia added to their score in the second half meaning that the final score was 17-10.
