Rassie Erasmus praises maul law changes
Rassie Erasmus has spoken to the media ahead of the third test of Rugby’s Greatest Rivalry tour and has offered praise to World Rugby about a law change introduced this year that he feels has had a positive impact on all sides.
In comments covered by Rugby Planet Erasmus commented, “So well done to World Rugby. When it was seven or eight-man mauls, in the past you could stop it with the four going around and dragging the maul back. Then there was no space for the backs to attack, but now you have to commit to the maul and the vacuum is open.
If a law change has got Rassie on board and not just because it benefits the Springboks, then well done World Rugby!
