Rassie Erasmus has made ten changes to his Springboks starting XV for Saturday’s Nations Championship finale against Wales in Durban, with four uncapped players — including two 20-year-olds — set to win their first caps.
According to a fresh update from RugbyPass, the head coach has torn up the side that beat Scotland 42-28 in Pretoria last time out, promoting Sharks pair Vusi Moyo and Jaco Williams alongside lock Ruben van Heerden and prop Carlu Sadie for the trip to Kings Park.

Moyo becomes the third different fly-half to start for the Boks in as many games, with Williams joining him in the backline for a debut on their home ground. Both players were part of South Africa’s Junior World Championship-winning side, with Moyo already tasting senior action off the bench against the Barbarians in Gqeberha in June.
Captain Pieter-Steph du Toit is among five players retained from the win over Scotland, alongside flanker Paul de Villiers, lock Cobus Wiese, centre Jesse Kriel and full-back Aphelele Fassi. Manie Libbok provides cover for Moyo among a 5-3 bench split.
“Building squad depth has always been one of our pillars since 2018,” Erasmus said, “and to have such an exciting group of players coming through is fantastic as we continue to build our squad for the future.”
Wales, who ran South Africa close in Bloemfontein back in 2022, arrive at Kings Park chasing a first win over the Boks since that historic upset, closing out the Nations Championship’s inaugural July window for both sides.
