Uruguay vs Georgia in the opening round of the Rugby Nations Cup as both teams develop towards the 2027 Rugby World Cup.

Uruguay picked up strong wins over Romania and Portugal in November to show a strong record against European opposition. Uruguay are building towards one of the toughest groups in the World Cup as they will take on Ireland, Scotland and Portugal.

Georgia lost the Rugby Europe Championship final to Portugal in March, in a narrow 19-17 defeat. Georgia had won the Championship eight times in a row and on 14 occasions out of 15 before that.
