Rugby Canada’s new front-of-jersey deal with Picton Investments has given Stephen Meehan’s men’s programme a sharper commercial platform as the Nations Cup begins in Edmonton.
The governing body confirmed Picton Investments will appear on the front of both Canada men’s and women’s national team jerseys through 2027, ending a long wait for a unified 15s shirt sponsor across the two programmes.
Rugby Canada is pleased to announce that Picton Investments has become the new front-of-jersey sponsor across Canada's Men's and Women's Rugby Teams.

Why it matters
This is more than a shirt-panel announcement. Canada’s men open their Nations Cup campaign against Spain at Clarke Stadium on Saturday night, with Meehan recently secured through the end of 2028 and tasked with carrying the side through Rugby World Cup 2027 in Australia.
That continuity matters. Canada missed Rugby World Cup 2023, then rebuilt enough competitive credibility to return for the expanded 2027 tournament. Meehan’s remit now stretches beyond one campaign: he is also positioned inside the wider men’s XVs, sevens and age-grade structure.
The Picton deal also lands in a year when Canada’s women’s programme has continued to carry serious market value, with figures such as Olivia Apps helping keep the national set-up visible in the professional game.
The immediate test
Canada’s Spain opener is already loaded because the teams are also grouped together for Rugby World Cup 2027. Rugby Canada confirmed Andrew Quattrin will captain the side, Tyler Ardron is set for his 40th cap, and Josh McIndoe is in line for a debut from inside centre.
For Meehan, the sponsor announcement strengthens the frame around the rugby. The Nations Cup now becomes both a performance runway and a proof point for whether Canada can convert renewed investment into a harder-edged Test identity.
